Jason Booth is [STØY], a sound designer and composer from Huddersfield. [STØY] specialises in sound recording, editing and design for all media types and also in composition of any mood, particularly dark and abstract soundscapes.
From immense abandoned warehouses of grand acoustic quality to broken light fittings played with a cello bow, nothing escapes the sharp eye and ear of [STØY], who sees potential in every found object and space.
[STØY] crafts flowing atmospheric soundscapes aided by mad theories and concepts that are able to portray all manner of moods. His sound design can be so true to life that its presence is barely noticeable, or so creatively abstract that it has listeners on the edge of their seats craving more of that ear tinglingly wonderful noise.
