Greetings, We are an independent film company about to embark on an ambitious, diverse, macro budget comedy feature film titled “Big Smoke”. We plan to start filming in three months and we need help. Producers, this means you!We will be filming this summer in London and Plymouth (dates to be finalised). It’s a story of two old schoolmates who have a chance meeting that ends up dragging them across the city on the hunt for a weight of weed, meeting all kinds of weird and wonderful characters on the way. We’ve never made a film before and we have no guarantee that it’ll be a success. But we’ve had nothing but good feedback so far so we’re going for it. We just need the right team to bring these people to life for us. The work will be unpaid but we plan to seek a distribution deal via the festival circuit, offering backend deals to the cast and crew once secured. Hi folks, Okay, some advice please; Completed my first draft. It's a multicultural London gang story; Everyone chasing the mcguffin through this criminal underworld. I've given it to a few close friends to read. They like the story and think it plays well. Some minor dialogue changes needed. But, I have conflicting advice on my badass character - on the one hand, one of my readers says they like that he's the chatty approachable type as it's fresh and new and adds something to him being the kind of guy who can take everyone in the room, but then another says no, he talks too much. I need scale back his dialogue. Make his actions do the talking. So, which advice do I take? Does a badass HAVE to be the strong silent type? Can his verbalising destroy his mystery? I'm starting the second draft this weekend. All advice welcome

Hi Everyone, I'm R.J., a screenwriter from London. Got no formal training, I just watch a lot of films and give it a go. Just finished my first screenplay of 2016 and currently on page 19 of the September Challenge. Finding the change in pace and direction for this one a bit jarring, but it's all a learning curve, right? Here to network and find competitions, possibly collaborators. I've been sticking to what our know story wise, so it's all London based thus far but, wings and the world wide web can help us fly, no?
