Hola, does anyone know an entertainment lawyer that gives consultations to authors? I am writing an autobiography and I have some questions on writing about illegal activities.

Writing My Life Away!

Good evening, today is the day for.... writing more.

I started my writing career seven years ago. What do I have to show for it? Five screenplays, short stories, and one tv series. Has any of them been sold? Not yet. Does that stop me from writing? Of course not, writing cures my madness.

As I build...

More power to you! Shakespeare's plays are still being read. 500 years from now your stories will be read. What you write is immortal.

Aaron Marcus

Not sure if this went through before, so I am sending it again.

Great connecting here LeAndra. What types of films do you find yourself mostly working on? I am interested in talking with you about possibly interviewing you about being a script supervisor. Would you email me at: aaron@howtoactandm...

Well now I've written quite a few screenplays. Five to be exact. Though I am ready to submit them, I am wondering should I submit them to competitions or should I hold on to them until I meet the right contacts? I do have two short screenplays that I have thought about making, though I do not have f...

Are all 5 of your scripts in the same genre? Meaning, did you learn how to craft a solid script in one genre?

Anthony Moore

There are contests out there that will give you feedback just for entering. I would suggest taking your best screenplay and entering one or two, get the feedback, then decide where to go from there.

Short Stories

I have written quite a few short stories. I was wondering if anyone knows what I can do with them, such as publishing or just to get them out into the world. I know Writers Digest has a competition. Does anyone know of any other competitions or websites I can publish my stories?

Slavica Bogdanov

Hi, did you try to publish them on Amazon or kindle? I created a free webinar on getting published if you are interested?

LeAndra Cortez

Thank you all so much for your help and info. I have a great appreciation for this community and will be on the way to publishing my work.

There are lots of competitions but they frequently have a fee for entry and there's a good chance you won't get to hear anything more once you've paid your money. Some local papers run small competiti...
