About Sheyla

Born in Panama in 1977 and left the country in 1989 just before the US invasion happened. Grew up in Northern Virginia. With aspirations of going into the entertainment industry, worked towards that goal. Took various acting courses, and dance classes. But often made up stories.
Began writing in eighth grade, inside notebooks while in Math and chemistry classes. Still have issues with fractions. Wrote specs scripts before even knowing what it was. Wrote novels of fan fiction, which led to a self-publication of an original work in 2005.
Joined the Military and served in the U.S. Army Reserve for 8 years. Most recently Graduated Ashford University with a Bachelors of Art in Social sciences. Now pursuing a Masters in Creative writing in Full Sail University.
