As far as Social media goes, I have been successful in a Global presence from a Music Video that in my opinion, lends itself for a possible Producer connection as the two are are mutually connected! The upload of my work to the log line has not proved very successful as I get no feedback or comments on my scripts! Perhaps, one of these days. In the meantime, I keep writing and concentrating on my Art with a mindset to never give up! YOLO!

I think I've done the groundwork. But as I stand 40 days from planned crowdfund, I wish I'd began trying to connect with target audiences earlier. We're also going a live fundraiser Feb. 21 before the Feb. 22 kick off to crowdfund so it's like back-to-back marketing to two different audiences.

from my experience with crowdfunding I wouldn't necessarily go with a crowdfunding firm but definitely get at least one other person to help you - it is a lot of work to keep pushing a crowdfunding campaign, its really too much for one person if you want it to be really successful.

Just curious, but why would need funds for prints? Most theaters are totally digital now. I played quite a few theaters with my feature via dvd. You can advertise on FB and other social media. You can get local press to do a story on you....radio stations, newspapers, local mags, etc. Have you considered a festival run?

Hi Ruth, let me ask a question and then try to help you. What are your relationships - with this indie actor your want to attach, with the potential directors, and/or with the potential financiers? Are you producing yourself, or will you be partnering with another producer? Do you have relationships with potential producing partners? With that info, I hope I can give you a little more guidance if I'm able to.

You can always get a 'letter of intent' from the actor. It would be best to go through their agent/manager (if they have one).

Hello everyone, sorry it's been ages since I signed in to Stage 32 but for some reason I didn't get notifications that people have answered my questions so pardon the lack of response on my part. Well there's tons that have happened since I posted the question. I've actually written and produced a short film earlier this year, it's now on IMDb: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt6985322/ Filming was done in April and now about to launch a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for post to get us to cross the finish line. I figure nobody is going to help you make your dream, you've got to do it yourself. My hope is this short film will enable me to convince financiers to fund the feature :)

I'm hoping you get some good answers. This forum is kinda crickets. I've recently redirected my energy from doing based on true story feature film to doing a documentary on the same subject.
