Derrick Whitt had made his debut in To Kill A Mockinbird in 2016 at Syracuse Stage and as Miss Roj in Paul Robeson Performing Arts Co's production of The Colored Museum. Other roles he played were Lord Montague and Peter in Romeo & Juliet (2017), First Duke/Forester and played acoustic bass in As You Like It (2017), and Hitchhiker Freak in the film, Salt City (2018).
He is also a composer, bass guitarist and co-founder of instrumental rock band, Lumination (2005) and currently vocals, bass guitarist and drums for the Paul Waterstripe Band (2018). You can listen to instrumental rock tracks from Lumination's CD, All Grow'd Up (2014), by visiting
