Joshua K. Carpenter

Joshua K. Carpenter, Founder of Global Content, is an entrepreneur, educator, and entertainment executive with over a decade of acquisitions and sales experience, licensing 600+ Movies & TV titles into the global marketplace. From limited theatricals, television networks, home entertainment, and streaming platforms, Joshua is dedicated to helping release diverse content for first-time filmmakers with micro and low budgets to seasoned and award-winning filmmakers with star-powered casts up to $20M.

Since September 2022 at Global Content, Joshua has been committed to coaching, consulting, negotiating, and facilitating content licensing with TV networks, streaming platforms, distributors, and filmmakers.

For nine years, from September 2013 to September 2022, while overseeing Green Apple Entertainment's diverse film portfolio of 400+ titles as Head of Global Acquisition & Sales, Joshua negotiated and acquired over 250 films for distribution, their linear FAST channel, and On-Demand app GAGO. His responsibilities included managing account relations with network and platform alliances, overseeing metadata and content optimization, and leading the artwork creation team. Joshua also represented the company at film markets and actively engaged as a guest speaker, panelist, panel host, and award presenter at film festivals.

Joshua began his journey in the film industry at AMG Films, where, for one year from February 2011 to February 2012, he served as the National Sales Director, licensing the Public Performance rights to the $15M budget animated movie The Lion of Judah.

Joshua is a graduate of Christ For the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas, with a focus in Biblical Theology and has three children.
