Lorenne Clarke is an International Award-Winning Screenwriter, Actress, and Educator who discovered film at an exceptionally young age as a form of escapism to cope with the traumatic and anomalous events she survived. She eventually came to rely on the euphoria that her favorite family films generated, as they gradually became the building blocks of normalcy in her unpredictable life. Lorenne knew she wanted to connect with audiences, creating a safe haven for those enduring similar life-altering experiences. Acting and storytelling would be her calling!
Lorenne is a professionally trained actress whose introduction to the stage began at the historic Priscilla Beach Theatre in Plymouth, Massachusetts, known for hosting legendary talents such as Paul Newman, Rob Reiner, and Jennifer Coolidge. After graduating Valedictorian of her high school class, Lorenne received her education from Harvard University, completing the Advanced Theatre Training Program with Jeremy Geidt (founding member of both the American Repertory Theater and the Yale Repertory Theatre) and the University of Massachusetts, Boston where she made her praised directorial debut of Paula Vogel's "How I Learned To Drive".
In addition to acting, Lorenne’s journey has also included over 15 years of professional experience in Exceptional Student Education, working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and instruction in Dramatic Arts. She is an International Award-Winning Screenwriter celebrated for her co-creation of the TV pilot and series "Whiskey and the Firecracker" (WATF), which has garnered widespread recognition, earning accolades such as: Finalist in the Stage 32 2nd Annual TV Writing Contest, Selections at the Film & Script Showcase, Sunset Film Festival Los Angeles, and 2nd Place in the Television Spec Category at the 2016 Cannes Screenplay Contest.
Currently, Lorenne has an autobiographical series in development, which aims to create a safe and healing platform for audiences who have struggled through similar adversities, from childhood medical illnesses
to surviving disastrous car accidents requiring spinal fusion surgery to losing a home through a Category 5 Hurricane. She intends to address important societal themes such as: generational trauma, chronic illnesses, a wide spectrum of disabilities, addiction, homelessness, and the aftermath of natural disasters.
Lorenne remains unceasingly focused on her life's purpose to create content that heals, inspires, empowers, promotes inclusivity, and unites audiences in that creative process. Her adversity has been a blessing, and fuel for her creative endeavors.
