Austin is an award-winning writer, director, and editor of feature films, shorts, music videos, commercials, and branded content. His films and screenplays have been featured at film festivals around the world, including the Phoenix Int’l Film Festival, the Atlanta Film Festival, Lighthouse International Film Festival, the NYC Chain Festival, The Portland Film Festival, First Glance Film Festival Philadelphia, and more.
Austin won 2 Telly Awards and an Internet Advertising Competition Award for “Why Music?” a cinematic brand video he wrote and directed for the Yale School of Music, featuring a soundtrack by Emmy-winning composer Garth Neustadter.
Austin’s screenplays have been selected for the Screencraft Bahamas Screenwriting Fellowship in partnership with the Bahamas International Film Festival, and the Stowe Story Labs Spring Intensive, and honored at the Starz Denver Screenwriting Competition and the BlueCat Screenwriting Competition.
Austin is currently writing his 3rd feature film and directing branded content for IVY: The Social University, featuring celebrity thought leaders such as Caitlin Jenner, Daymond John, Iron Chef Morimoto, and many more.
