Here to say hello and re-introduce myself to the Stage 32 community, it's been a hot second.

Recently moved to Los Angeles, CA from NYC where I lived for over 28 years. I moved out of Brooklyn in 2021 during the pandemic and after I travelled the country for two solid months and booked a run of "A Life Behind Bars" at The Rustic Theatre in Idyllwild, Ca, I made up my mind to move west. "A Life Behind Bars" has taken me across the country and back several times, the most recent of which was to the Wisconsin Association of Treatment Court Professionals.

"A Life Behind Bars" is a black comedy solo play or solo performance, based on years of bartending in seedy Pre-Giuliani Manhattan and Brooklyn. It's a response to gentrification and my own personal relationship with alcohol. It was first produced as an Equity Showcase at Dixon Place in NYC on my birthday, 2015. I moved it to a rock club (The Gutter Bar) in Brooklyn, NY where it ran for six Monday evenings in 2016 and went on to a solid ten-day run in Richmond, Va before returning to NYC to win "Best Autobiographical Show" at the 2016 United Solo Festival. The show had a year and a half run at The Laurie Beechman Theatre on 42nd Street between 2017 and 2018, where it won the NYC MAC Award for “Best Spoken Word Artist” and an NYC Bistro Award for “Outstanding Solo Play.” “A Life Behind Bars” also won a “Producers Encore Award” at The Hollywood Fringe in 2018. The same year, I was the recipient of the Martha Hill Newell Playwright Fund Grant. The show when on to two separate runs at Carnegie Stage in Pittsburgh, PA and to a sold-out performance at City Winery, NYC. In 2020 I was a recipient of the Jeremy O. Harris (Slave Play) "Pet Project" Grant.

I most recently directed the Los Angeles premiere of “GUT” at Whitefire Solofest 2024, starring Janet Rodgers as holocaust rescuer, Irene Gut Opdyke. Other direction credits include Mary Goggin’s uplifting and inspirational solo show, “Runaway Princess: A Hopeful Tale of Heroin, Hooking and Happiness,” “Gold Dust Woman” starring Andrea Bell Wolff, productions of "Hedwig & the Angry Inch," "Eye-95" and as a core director for the NYC sensational 24-Hour play series, “The A-Train Plays” at the Sanford Meisner Theatre.

I am working on new material for both the stage and for film, television and streaming, as well as brushing up on my voice-over abilities. I have been directing, writing, learning and growing but I'm looking to play. I am looking to garner as much screen and professional time and as I can (Student, Indie, Print, Voice-overs, et al) so I can build my resume. I am a responsible, reliable, and funny character actor and with the right script, I could also seed it up and potentially scare the blazes out of you( in a safe way). :)
