Heck was born in Mexico City. Passionate about storytelling, he has been writing stories since he was a kid, finishing his first novel when he was thirteen.
Studied Film and Television Production in Mexico City. After graduation he participated in several projects, including the film “Where the waves collide” as an Assistant Director and “Rebellious” in the animation department.
Later on he decided to give his career a new course and moved to Canada, where he studied a Post-Graduate Degree in Film and Television Directing and Screenwriting.
To the moment he has collaborated in more than 35 film projects, including 4 feature films. His roles on filmmaking have been diverse: from directing and producing through animation in stop-motion to coordinating visual effects.
For the time being he lives in Toronto, where he creatively produces audio-visual projects with his company, Sir Heck Media Production. His latest film “S.A.M.” has been screened in different parts of the world and has won several awards. The new project on development is “H”, a Canadian-Mexican co-production.
On his free time, you might see him reading. Or perhaps in a coffee shop drinking an extra large coffee, emotionally involved in a discussion. But for sure he is always seeking for new adventures and trying for new hobbies.
