About Sydney
Writer, Actress, boots on the ground, anything creative. These are only some of the things I do.
I am predominately a writer. I write anything from screenplays to novels, to children's books. However, I love acting and will jump in front of the camera any chance I get.
I began writing in high school when I was assigned to write my own short film. I realized that I enjoyed writing and was actually good at it. I continued writing as a hobby from there on out. However, I didn't take it as my career path. I have my Masters Degree from Boston University in Criminal Justice. Needless to say, my career was nothing like the movies.
I stepped away from my career after the birth of my first son. However, I was able to pick up writing again on the side. Then it turned into something more as I was hired to adapt a book to film. It was a success! The first adapted screenplay was one of four books, and I was commissioned to write all four screenplays.
As well as writing screenplays, I have finished my first novel and published a children's book - obviously inspired by my own kids.
This is me in a tiny nutshell. I love being creative, but have experience in a very different world. I am a mom of three boys, but making sure I continue to do what I love though my writing.
