I'm a writer/director currently in funding and pre-production on my first feature "Dirty Boy" - a psych thriller about a sex-obsessed schizophrenic kid trapped in a religious cult - no, it's nt autobiographical - well, not entirely!

My TV pilot script "The Machine' has just made the semi's (final 25) in the Bluecat Comp - yes, I'm pretty stoked!

I had a pretty shitty birthday yesterday but woke this morning to a very welcome belated present.

I've had a script on the desk of a very successful writer/director/producer for a couple of months now. He's set up/sold over 40 scripts over the years including one spec that sold for $3M and never got made.

I'd kinda given up hope on him but today he emails me and tells me he loves it but his slate is full for a considerable period.

However, he's gonna recommend it to a couple of other producers and an agent with whom he is confident will respond well to the material. Given that he is Los Angeles and I'm in London and I was 47 yesterday I'm pretty made up. 2nd thing I've ever written.

Morning All - I am both an indie film festival founder and filmmaker. Starting in September, I am creating an indie streaming channel that will show indie films, music videos and web series programming. I am meeting with companies in NYC this coming week and will establish this service to start in fall. This way, creators can show content and get some form of revenue. Hi, hope everyone is well, I'm a multimedia journalist in Cape Town, have been producing Feature video's on various topics, but want to start producing longer more in-depth documentaries. How should one get started - first shoot the entire documentary and try sell it or shoot a preview and then try get funding ?
