About Larry

Larry Kaster is a producer and partner in Rush Hour Productions, a full-service TV and Film production company based in Los Angeles. He started his career in lighting, freelancing in both television and film for companies such as HBO, Showtime, NBC and several film studios, gaining vital production experience that would prove invaluable later as a producer. Due to his unique experience working on set, Larry is able to bring a different perspective to how projects are organized and developed in order to maximize creativity, efficiency and production value. He co-founded Rush Hour Productions in 1987 and since has produced TV shows such as “Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand-up,” “Primetime,” “Way Black When,” “Comedy All-Stars” and many others. He has also produced episodic TV, music videos, short films, commercials, PSA's, promos and industrials, including projects for TVOne, BET, Starz, ABC On-Air Promos, Toyota Motors, Nissan Motors, Nolan Miller Fashions and JD Power and Associates. He has produced several independent films, including “Uninvited,” “Shoot It.” and “The Red House,” in addition to line producing specific production elements on larger features such as “Lawnmower Man” and “The Doors.” These experiences has given Larry a deep understanding of all levels of budget and schedule from micro to macro, both union & guild and non-union & non-guild, and has given him the ability to find creative solutions to putting everything on the screen.

He is a gradute of Northern Illinois University.
