My name is Patrick Hercules, and I am from Queens, New York. I grew up writing short stories and poems. As I got older, that passion for creative writing grew into a passion for wanting to write for television and film. I have been turning my old ideas for short stories and new ideas into scripts. With that being said, my heart is in comedy. I love to make people laugh and smile. Whether in film or on TV, comedy has shaped my sensibilities. Although writing comedy is where my heart is, I enjoy writing drama, sci-fi, and horror/psychological thrillers. I want to be able to write for every genre. Even for animation. My goal is to tell the stories that I want to tell. But I ultimately want to mentor and help people break in and realize their dreams. To help them tell their stories. I have written a few scripts as I make my attempt to break into the industry.
I was recently announced as a quarterfinalist in the Inroads Fellowship (Season 4) for my comedy pilot A Broken Will. It is in the top 35% of discoverable projects on Coverfly. It is also #17 out of 20 on the Red List. My spec script based on the show Atlanta is in the top 39% of discoverable projects.
