About Cynthia

The Crown Heights Film Festival was founded in 2009 to bring the community together as it was rapidly changing due to gentrification. Nine years later, the tradition continues every October. We attract large, enthusiastic audiences here in Crown Heights, one of Brooklyn's most beautiful and diverse neighborhoods.

It all happens on October 18th, 19th, and 20th from 7PM until about 9:30PM. The matinee is on October 21st at 1:00PM. Come to as many screenings as you like; admission is free. We’re conveniently located at 558 St Johns Place between Classon Ave. and Franklin Ave. Take the 2, 3, 4, or 5 (the 5 on weekdays only) train to the Franklin Ave. station or the Franklin Ave. Shuttle to the Botanic Garden station. Whether you’re a movie maker looking to network or you simply love the moving image, this is a great neighborhood event.
