Crystal L Brooks

My passion is screenwriting. When I first moved to Indianapolis, I wrote and directed a short film called "Troubled Man". It was about a successful husband and father who walks away from his life to live as a homeless man. I loved doing it, but like a lot of people, thought I was no good and chose to focus on my "other" career. My day gig is as Vice President for a top ten lender in the country. I completed my Executive MBA at Indiana Wesleyan in 2015. My true calling is as a Pastor in the Church of the Nazarene. I work with women in prison where I teach and mentor the female inmates. My favorite course is teaching them Financial Education and to have their own businesses. I decided to get back to my real passion of screenwriting. I love faith based stories where we see the human condition at its worse. But there is always hope for redemption. I completed one screenplay which I did many years ago. It actually garnered some interest at Sundance when I entered it. When I walked away, I got rid of my copy. But my best friend kept a copy of it and recently sent it to me to keep the spark going. I am currently working on my second screenplay, a drama which I want to produce and film here in Indiana.
