Patricia Baum worked on Gus Van Sant's first feature, Mala Noche, then received a BA from San Francisco State University in Cinema Production in 1992. She wrote and directed the award wining short films, 122 Webster, The Cleansing Machine and Peace, Love, '92. She worked as a location sound mixer for 20 years, and has mentored many young people at the Northwest Film Center in Portland, OR and the Leonardo Perel Escuela de Cine in Todos Santos, BCS, Mexico where she currently lives, writes screenplays and is the education coordinator for the Leonard Perel Escuela de Cine. She directed a regional version of the Little Prince in 2019, with local young actors and crew, which premiered at the 16th Todos Santos Festival de Cine and won best International Short at the Festival Internacional de Cine de la Mujer, Punta del Este, Uruguay in 2019.
