I watched a video on youtube where an instructor tells why most screenplays fail at the premise is because the writer ends up choosing the wrong genre for what they are writing. Do you think that movies/audiences are abit too sensitive when involving children? Im doing a movie script that involves a child serial killer, the images wont be graphic, im going to be using the whole (you cant see it but you know what is happening or what's going to happen) approach, is it a tabo...

Loved that film. Peter Lorre did a marvelous job as the killer. Creepy, yet vulnerable. Loved it. And it's in German.

I say go for it, as long as it's tasteful, we creative types would certainly appreciate it. There are child serial killers, and you can even reference one. Much success.

As a parent I'd argue this one way, and as a filmmaker I'd argue it another. It would certainly make for a terrifying movie. The question is how "truthful" are you being? Are you making people afraid...
