About Mia

Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. Started my life as a dancer. Received my education at The Royal Swedish Ballet School from the age of 10. I joined the Royal Swedish Ballet in 2006 and got promoted to soloist. Danced with the company for 12 years.
Discovered my passion for acting when cast as Penny Jonson in the musical theatre production of the iconic film Dirty Dancing. Performed 150 shows. Decided acting would be my next step so I applied and got accepted to Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts where I received my education in theatre and film acting as well as at Stella Adler Acting Studio in NYC.

2016 I started freelancing as an actress in Sweden. I signed with an agent and booked roles for film and TV i Sweden, Holland and the US.

2018 I moved out to Los Angeles and I'm now a SAG- actress with theatrical and commercial representation.

While pursuing acting I have not completely left dancing. I spent 3 years as Artistic Director for the dance company Stockholm 59º North and produced a number of full evening shows. Since moving to LA I've made the choreography for the musical Dear John Why Yoko? by Anzu Lawson, I've choreographed musical theatre numbers for Cal State LA, teached ensemble work as well as ballet classes, contemporary classes and repertoire.

Story telling is what I know best and what I love doing. As an actress, dancer or choreographer. One day I want to move into directing as well.

I thrive in collaborations crossing over multiple artistic expressions and love creating with new people.
