About SoKo

Soko began his musical career at the Beethoven Conservatory to continue perfecting himself with a Fulbright Scholarship at the New England Conservatory in Boston where he studied with David Zoffer, Lautaro Mantilla, Jamie Stewardson and John Mallia.

He received a special mention for his music, which he wrote with musician Raul Barboza at the international film festival "Pantalla Pinamar" with the film "El décimo Infierno" by writer Mempo Giardinelli, and a selection at the Cannes International Film Festival for the short film "Lunesta".

He is the director of the multidisciplinary group El Silente Sur, declared of cultural interest, working on his latest show "Pizarnik, Insólita Belleza" together with the plastic artist Luis Scafati and the actress Virginia Innocenti.

He recorded with important musicians of the local scene, such as Marcelo Moguilevsky, Ernesto Jodos and Oscar Edelestein and as a flamenco flutist he participated in the most outstanding shows in the city, actually he is preparing a new show with the flamenco dancer Iara Urrustarazu

In Theater he was musical director of the works of Spanish music premiered in and produced by the Astral Theater and member and one of the composer of the musical theater group "Abismarse", with two nominations to the original music (Luisa Vehil Award 2015 and Trinidad Guevara).

He received two Scholarships and a special invitation from the National Fund for the Arts to participate in the last Argentine Improvisation and Composition Encounter, appearing in the Blue Whale room of the Kirchner Cultural Center. He also received a Scholarship from the Goethe Institute to study with Ingrid Zur and Joerg Heyer from the School of Music of the University of Frankfurt, Germany, playing with the Argentine pianist Marcelo Balat.
