Tempest X

Newark, NJ-based author, Tempest X, was raised in Reading, Pennsylvania. Tempest's multi-ethnic background (Black, Cherokee Indian, German, Irish, plus) informs much of her work. Also reflected is her interest in American History and Critical Race Theory. But when it comes to choosing new projects, she lets her imagination and the whispers of her ancestors' reign supreme. "Boxes are boring."
