Rip Noel

The short version: Commercial media producer, owner of Noel Studios, Inc. Educated at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. When not producing projects (my first love of course) I enjoy ocean sailing, horses, scuba diving and snow skiing. I do also have an uber nice production trailer available with most all the toys including an ultra hi-def 12k edit suite with Panavision certified monitors. The long version: My name is Rip Noel. I just recently passed the six decade mark having officially started shooting at the age of 11 when I took photography merit badge in the Boy Scouts. Although my parents were blue collar workers, they co-signed a loan (with our home as collateral) so I could attend The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA in the late 1970's where I was a photography major. After college I worked as a free-lance assistant in Hollywood, eventually landing a studio manager position at a top commercial studio. I started my own commercial photography business and have successfully run it since incorporating in 1982. I transitioned to video production in the early 1990's when the very first non-linear editors began showing up (although at The Art Center we actually spliced our films together). I have since produced many video productions including everything from Web videos to a television show for ESPN and now my life-goal is to begin producing documentary and/or feature films. I presently live on a small horse farm at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, love ocean sailing (I am a captain), SCUBA diving (I am a Dive Master), horses and snow skiing. I am blessed to have a wonderful wife and lots of animals.
