James Hibbard is a Northern California screenwriter represented by Black Box Management. His feature screenplays have been optioned for production and recognized by The Austin Film Festival, The PAGE Screenwriting Awards, The Cinequest Film Festival, ScreenCraft and The International Screenwriters’ Association.
James has reviewed fiction for the respected literary magazine Ploughshares, and is an alumnus of the Tin House Writer's Workshop. His prose has appeared in journals including Aporia, Otherwise, Noetic, and Aethlon.
A former professional cyclist, James has written extensively on the sport of cycling including a regular column for , and his introduction appears in the U.S. edition of Paul Kimmage's seminal book on doping in cycling—Rough Ride (Random House)
In his commercial work, James has directed, produced, and written numerous product videos and short narrative films which have aired nationally and internationally.
