About Oscar

Hello! My name is Oscar Armando and I am a freelance filmmaker. I have worked on short films, features, music videos, advertisement videos, content videos, commercials, tv production, brand marketing, PR campaigns, and so much more.

I began my filmmaking career by producing art house projects (independent film) and gradually began getting noticed by producers to where I am now being hired on bigger projects. I have also managed film festivals such as HollyShorts Film Festival (2017, 2018, 2019), Mammoth Film Festival (2018, 2019), Pembroke Taparelli Arts and Film Festival (2017, 2019, 2020), San Pedro International Film Festival (2018), L.A. Film Festival, and more. I learned everything I know about film and tv production from jobs I booked, being mentored by seasoned producers and directors in the industry, producing Q&A film screenings at the Los Angeles Film School + American Film Institute with Oscar-qualifying filmmakers, shadowing filmmakers on set, working for free, creating content for clients, creating content for fun, taking Masterclasses taught by notable directors and filmmakers, asking questions, and just doing the work myself. I am now a member of numerous film + tv communities and growing every day with the talented and wonderful people in this industry.

My short-term goal is to produce 1 feature film in 2020 and direct my first feature in 2021. My long-term goal is to fulfill requirements and join the DGA and PGA by December 2022. My life-time goal is to continue to work and grow my skillset with filmmakers from all around the world while helping others produce their projects and grow along the way.
