Jeff Walton has probably written music for more feature films than anyone else in his home state of Texas. Over the past twenty years, Walton has scored twenty-nine feature films and composed for numerous television projects.
While still in high school, Walton was a founding member of the ground-breaking minimalist new-wave trio The Judy’s. The band released two critically acclaimed albums in the 1980s, Washarama and The Moo Album.
By 1987, the original members of the band had gone their separate ways and while studying music at the University of Houston, Walton began to pursue writing music for film. He got his first break in 1992 with a low-budget action film entitled Fatal Justice and soon more film and television work followed.
Walton’s score for The Face of the Serpent (DVD title Hitman’s Code) was nominated best score in the 2003 California Independent Film Festival.
His most recent film work includes Super Shark (2011) with John Schneider, Sarah Lieving, Tim Abell, and Jimmy Walker and Return of the Killer Shrews (2012) starring John Schneider, James Best, and Bruce Davison.
