I have an idea for a TV show. The problem I have is that I believe that I can sell the idea with just a couple of sentences. From everything I've seen I feel like I need to put a lot into the synopsis, but I think that would take away from the idea and bog it down, making it less likely to be picked...

Expand commentI am in features, not TV... but part of my job is often to come up with a stack of great ideas. Not just good ones, but great ones. And usually nothing will happen with most of all of them. So I have to come up with a bunch more. That's the first step in the job: be able to come up with a bunch of great ideas. The next step is to turn one into a great script with great characters and great scenes and great dialogue and great actions and great... And the next step is to just keep doing that forever.
