Dena Barnett

I was a touring dancer in Italy in my teens, with a background in Theatre Acting. On my return to the UK I set up a company (Arts Entertainment) with the Choreographer I worked with in Italy and a childhood friend (An Opera/Pop Singer). For 5 years we produced our own shows in Holland and the UK and recorded a (House Dance Single), We also worked with Cabaret Singers; one who appearance at the London Palladium and Grosvenor House Hotel. I set up my own company alongside and arranged the entertainment for the TV launch of 'The Word' with Bob Dylan's backing singers. As a mature student I gained a Performance Art Degree and produced/raised the money for several Regional Arts Festivals. On the back of this I was offered a research role at Carlton TV which led to an 8 year career in Film and TV production. To supplement my income I worked as a Teacher/Tutor and university Lecturer - teaching English/Drama and Media. I trained as a teacher in 2007 and worked Internationally as a Tutor in Spain/Moscow and France. I lived in France and I am now based in the UK. I am currently developing a treatment for a feature film based on a true story in America and a documentary that is inspired by a family story that connects to the Tsar of Russia.
