About Wendy
I'm polishing the final drafts of two feature length screenplays, have written a dozen shorts and produced and acted in two of them. I also wrote twelve scripts for actors participating in a promenade play and directed and produced the outdoor show.. I've produced, directed and acted in a two hour variety stage show. I regularly perform at literary open mic's, In addition to writing poetry and political commentary, I worked as a production assistant and driver on The Amazing Race Canada when it came to PEI, Canada. I've produced several small music festivals and hosted countless concerts, dances, plays, literary and visual arts exhibitions.I have written advertising copy, designed and admniistered social, print and broadcast media campaigns for NGO's, sports teams, and community organizations.
I administer numerous FACEBOOK social media sites, two of them for screenwriters.
The COLD READING CIRCLE offers writers an opportunity to hear their stories brought to life and to help others by taking parts and reading aloud from their scripts in a Zoom reading room.
The SCRIPT REPAIR CAFE is a new site in which writers share their lived expertise and help deepen character portrayals - help with world building.
Unique traits: I've dodged death seven times, the last time being when a moose jumped onto my car as I was driving across Canada. I've moved across the world and lived as an expat. And travelled across oceans and nations to house sit in strange lands.
