Pedro Pablo Picazo (Seville) is a screenwriter, writer and playwright. With a BA in Screenwriting from the ECAM, he has written several TV series and programs. He has also published four novels as well as several short stories in different anthologies; and is the author behind two plays represented in Madrid’s Teatro Lara. In the field of film, his project entitled “Contrarreloj” (“Against the Clock”) was selected in 2005 at the III Edition of the Development Course for Ibero-American Film Projects held by Casa América and the Carolina Foundation. In 2009, he was a finalist at the I National Contest City of Gijon for Film Projects with “Voces” (“Voices”), and that same year he wrote the screenplay of the animated film “Los Protectores” (“The Protectors”), subsidized by the Cultural Council of the Junta de Andalusia. “On Air”, co-written with J. L. Ordóñez, was selected in 2014 for the SOURCES 2 program. In 2015, he was a finalist at the I Telefonica Studios Film Screenplay Prizes “En busca de la nueva generación del cine” (“Searching for a New generation of Filmmakers”) with “Shrinking”, a project that has also been selected by the IV Screenplay Lab of the SGAE Foundation. Then, in 2016 his project “Dentro de la bestia” (“Inside the beast”) was selected in Dama Ayuda and it was written with the collaboration of Alberto Marini (REC saga). Then his script “Otto” was selected in “Instantánea” an his series “Frontera de espías” (“Spy’s frontier”) in “Seriegrama” where was aimed again with Marini. Now he’ s teaching how to write animation in ECAM’s Máster de Guion de series de ficción.
