Marco Renna's Lounge Discussions

Hello Stage 32 friends,

My name is Marco. I've been a creative storyteller my whole life, whether in corporate work or just for my own cathartic need to get something on paper. A decade ago my daughter announced to my spouse and I that she was going to be on TV, and despite our best arguments against it, she now is! So at the age of 3 she embarked on her journey with mom and dad as her support team.

Spending so much time on sets in-and-around the director and dp tents an inspiring flame was rekindled in me that had long ago receded to a crackling ember. I had a renewed thirst to get back into the action and so I started (or restarted) my own journey into the film and TV industry here in Vancouver, BC. I've been fortunate enough to meet some wonderful, supportive and influential people that have encouraged me to seek my path through writing, directing and learning every aspect of the industry that I can. So here I am.

I am currently working on first drafts of 2 screenplays, a sci-fi feature and a dark action feature. In addition I'm creating portfolio work to showcase my editing/VFX/SFX skills while continuing on my path to membership in the Directors Guild of Canada and eventual enrolment in the Cinematographers Guild as well.

I am grateful that Stage 32 provides an avenue to network with and meet people on a similar journey. Please connect with me, I look forward to meeting a lot of new friends in film.
