As the oldest child of an international arms dealer, Siena grew up with a unique worldview and a healthy dose of moral ambiguity. The good guys in her world were often criminals and some of the bad ones wore badges. Her best friends were the animals she rescued from the forest behind her house and the imaginary characters in her head. These elements were the precursors of what would become the greatest Love of her Life, Story.
She began by writing Novels. Her first, KENTUCKY BLOOD won Best of Dennis Lehane’s Writer’s in Paradise in 2014 and was picked up by literary agent, Lisa Gallagher at DeFiore&Company.
While she learned her to trust her unique voice, Siena never completely embraced the novel form. When she stumbled on a Final Draft app, she began typing and never looked back. Her first screenplay, a 1-hr TV Western Pilot, BORDER DOGS-el Corrido de los Perros, was selected as an ISA Fast Track Grand Prize Winner in 2019 and a Bluecat semi-finalist the same year. Her second, HIGHER PRIMATES was a 2020 Emerging Screenwriters Finalist and gained her representation by Literary Manager, JD DeWitt at 5X5 Productions Inc. Siena writes smart, high-stakes, drama-on-the-verge of action narratives, set in richly imagined worlds, featuring unforgettable characters (including animals). Her most recent work, MATING PATTERNS is both, on brand, and a slight departure, a smart Romantic Comedy set in the Chess World.
