Bastian York is a writer and educator currently working in Austin, Texas.
Since he was little, he has always had a love for writing and has been a veracious reader, mainly enjoying the Sci-Fi and Fantasy genres.
Recently he accomplished a life goal of receiving his Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting from DePaul University where he developed and wrote scripts for two television series and a feature.
Most recently his Sci-Fi feature project, Remembrance, was a Quarter Finalist in the ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship and Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards.
His one-hour crime drama, In the Pines, was a Semi-Finalist in the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards, as well as received a 7/10 on the renowned script review website, The Black List.
Currently, Bastian is a Middle School ELA teacher where he shares his love of writing, reading, and film with his amazing students.
When he's not writing or teaching, he coaches lacrosse in his free time, a sport he's played for sixteen years and plays for Austin Lacrosse Club.
