Mandie Vredegoor, was raised on a farm outside of Lethbridge, Alberta. While she once complained of her solitary existence, having only animals to keep her company, she now attests that, “Being an only child developed {her} imagination.” That imagination fuelled a jack-of-all-trades career working both in front and behind the camera in the entertainment industry. Collecting dust are her diplomas from Company of Rogues Actor’s Studio, The Foundry, NAIT, U of C, and Toronto Film School. Mandie has worked as an actress, writer, agent, casting director, production coordinator, producer, director, stand-in and more. Her credits place her alongside a plethora of incredible mentors such as John Wells & Molly Metzler of “Shameless”, James L. Brooks of “As Good as it Gets”, John Kretchemer, Kamal Derkaoui, and many high-profile stars. While she continues to take varied contracts to expand her tool belt, Mandie’s primary focus is with her writing. She has numerous projects in various stages of development, tackling two major novel adaptations, a handful of MOW's, several dramatic series, an indie feature film and two reality programs. She’s a gun for hire currently but is working towards Show Running. When not writing, you can catch her painting seascapes, binge watching the flavour of the month with her husband or roaming the wilderness on a dream quest.
