I've always been attracted to doing the nearly impossible, not the impossible; that would be crazy. I wanted to make a fun animated film, so I created "On the Rise," which was in 36+ film fests and won multiple awards. I want to do an animated feature film so I wrote, "Spirit of the Rain," which also won multiple awards, but still exists only on paper. I've also designed stuff that, for example, flew to a comet and collected its "dust" (Stardust project), been a concert organist, a local TV producer and a co-producer of the largest global teleconference in history and a bunch of other stuff.
As a creative, my work, and life are about having a global impact, through visual storytelling, for the successful future of humanity. Any "passion projects" you might have could well be my passion projects as well.
Unique traits: I have an environmental degree and a great love of the natural world. My animated feature film stories reflect that, whether it's about saving the rainforest and its creatures, in "Spirit of the Rain," or remembering the central, and almost spiritual, importance of water in the desert, in "Desert Rat." I also have an interest in science. As a high school student I spent a day each week as a space biology intern in a brain research lab at NASA Ames. That experience, and my work as an aerospace engineering designer with projects that carried out missions in space, became my inspiration for my animated series, 'Mouse Brains,' about a clever young street mouse who gets recruited into an elite class of 'Moustronauts,' training to become the first mice to go to Mars.
