David J. Rank

A published author, editor, recovering journalist, and writer of Dark Fiction. DJR's short stories have been appeared in regional literary publications, multiple online ezines, and three print anthologies The Grays, published by JWK Fiction, Wisconsin Review II, published by the WWA Press, and the Shallow Waters anthology series, published by Crystal Lake Publishing.

The founder and director of the annual nonprofit Novel-In-Progress Bookcamp & Retreat residential writing programs, started in 2014. A member of the Horror Writers Association and both the Wisconsin Writers Association and Chicago Writers Association, president of the WWA from 2013 to 2016.

With more than 40 years of experience, DJR has written and edited newspapers, magazines, books, and worked in corporate communications. He now focuses on his fiction, writing novels, and running the NIP.
