I'd like to introduce you to a brand new film that I'm producing with co-Producer, A.J. Ali. WALKING WHILE BLACK: L.O.V.E. Is The Answer is a socially-conscious, solutions-oriented, feature-length documentary film that has the potential to help end racial profiling, and strengthen relationships between peace officers and the communities they serve. The film is teaching people how to LEARN about their community and the people in it, to OPEN their heart to their needs, to VOLUNTEER to be part of the solution, and to EMPOWER others to do the same. L.O.V.E. works for police officers, pastors, teachers, students, business people and anyone else who has the heart to become the change they wish to see in their community.
The red-carpet film premiere is at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica, CA on February 1! If you're in the LA area, I'd love to see you all there! Tickets are available on Eventbrite! https://wwbmovieredcarpet.eventbrite.comUse the promo code OSCAR to get 50% off General Admission tickets.
I invite you to visit www.WalkingWhileBlackTheMovie.com. There you can watch the trailer, view selects from the film, peruse our Press Kit, which gives thorough details about the film, about the filmmakers, and about the experts featured in the film, and learn how organizations in your neighborhood can host a screening. If you know of a community leader or have a personal relationship with the head of an organization that may be interested in showing this film or hosting a special screening event with the filmmakers present, please have them get in touch with me, or better yet, make the introduction in a group email! errol@errolwebber.com
A.J. Ali and I will be on tour with this film the entire year, doing upwards of 300+ screenings of the film in all 50 states! After the premiere on Feb 1, we begin the FILMMAKER'S PREMIERE SCREENING SERIES, where we're taking the film to different parts of the country, doing screenings and Q&As with the filmmakers (A.J. Ali and myself) at high schools, colleges, ministries, libraries, police departments, non-profits, etc. Another important aspect of each screening is we're inviting representatives of the local police department to attend every screening event, because a major part of this screening series is to facilitate opening the lines of communication between police and the communities they serve.
We've been working on this film for well over a year, and this film couldn't come at a more important time. I hope you all get the opportunity at some point, to watch this new film!
