About Crystel

After earning her degree in film from the Sorbonne, Crystel Amsalem honed her acting skills under the guidance of John Strasberg and participated in workshops with Jack Waltzer at the Actors Studio. Her creative journey began at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), where she directed her first short film, "Another Girl." Crystel also made her mark as an actress, featuring in numerous short films, television movies, and feature films, including the iconic series "Highlander" and Patrick Lévy's "Coup de Vice."

She later produced and directed short films such as "Les Copines" and "Rebecca," both of which gained recognition at esteemed festivals like Pantin and Palm Springs. Her debut feature film, "Quand les anges s'en mêlent…," garnered accolades at various international festivals, including those in New York, Boston, Melbourne, Palm Beach, and Washington. The film won the Best Actor award for Alexandre Brasseur at the Paris Film Festival, further establishing her reputation as a talented filmmaker.

Currently, Crystel is developing several exciting projects, including the series "Acting" and "Paris is Just a Dirty City," as well as her second feature film, "Art, Love & Money," which delves into the world of street art through compelling female characters. With her diverse background in production, direction, and acting, Crystel Amsalem is a dynamic creator dedicated to crafting engaging and thought-provoking cinema
