Screenwriter/Archaeologist/Mom/Adventurer/Sailor
My thriller short filmed in Houston in 2024 with an amazing team and we're set to release it to the world at film festivals in 2025. My low-budget suspense-thriller feature is currently seeking equity investors/Producers with the hope of gathering top talent and shooting December 2025.
Previously I've been living and writing (and tango dancing) in Buenos Aires, but otherwise I live in the Chicago suburbs.
I joined Stage 32 not only to help myself improve, but also to help others. Since joining, I have met the most incredible and creative people who have helped me develop as a screenwriter. When I'm not on Stage 32 learning something new, I co-host a monthly Zoom Table Read group, which allows screenwriters to hear their words come to life. I also am the co-host of the WR's Thursday night Pitch Practice with John Mezes on Stage 32.
I’ve written over fifteen feature screenplays, four shorts, and two TV pilots (psychological thrillers, action-adventure, epic, and comedy). I’m always developing my craft to make my scripts undeniable, reading tons of screenwriting books and scripts, attending classes and webinars, attending Stage 32 zoom events, and in-person film festivals.
I graduated from Boston University and The University of Chicago: Archaeology/Art History/French/Egyptology. I have worked as an archaeologist in Belize, Spain, Egypt, and the USA.
I've learned so much and I'm always willing to impart my second-hand knowledge to anyone in need. Being from the East Coast, I don’t tend to filter my feedback. I’m very direct and I appreciate direct feedback on my work. My skin is as tough as a Komodo dragon. My nickname is TT for Turbo Thompson because I can churn out work quickly and efficiently. Okay, only one person calls me that, but it's still true! Although lately I've been focusing on quality over quantity and collaboration over stagnation.
I speak, read, and write in Spanish at an intermediate level. I have a psychological thriller short that I have written in Spanish that I hope to film. My tango-ghost feature written in English is in pre-production in Buenos Aires.
I love sailing and took two years off with my family aboard our sailing catamaran to cruise The Bahamas, Jamaica, Panama, and Costa Rica. The highlight was traversing the Panama Canal from the Caribbean to the Pacific Ocean. This trip inspired my action-adventure script, Lock Down. Despite my exciting world travels, I usually only use those experiences for inspiration. Perhaps one day, someone will want to hear about the home-birthing, home-schooling mom who made her husband quit his job to go be a sailing bum only to deal with fires, squalls, and international authorities.
Send me a message and tell me what you’re working on!
