About Gavin
An adamant writer who believes strongly in representation, Gavin is an individual who has always danced to his own beat. Several of his works depict leads who are not the usual image of protagonists because we are all characters in our own stories. Science fiction and fantasy are often avenues that he uses to tell the tales that focus on the "other". Another major genre that Gavin tackles is the crime drama. Pulling from cultural backgrounds, not just his own history as a Black man in America, he weaves stories that highlight, uplift, and expound on the importance of heritage.
With a fascination and love of the 60s & 70s, Gavin enthusiastically writes scripts that feature bell bottoms, counter culture, and funk music. A handful of his spec scripts have been awarded placements in a few contests. Writing is his passion and his journey continues with every script, novel, or play he creates.
