About Jeremie

Jérémie Sery attended the Conservatoire Libre du Cinéma Français in Paris, where he received his Assistant Director’s degree. He worked as Production Assistant on a number of films, both Indie, and big budget, in France and Australia. Jeremie worked as 1st Assistant Director on the films “Prophète Sans d’Yeux”, “A Vos Amours”, “Bad Land”, and “Ici et Là”.

Jeremie directed his first short movie,a sci-fi short entitled “LiiV”, in Paris in 2010. A year later, Jeremie directed “Deparage”, a 40,000 Euro budget action film shot in RED ONE MX, which premiered at a megaplex in his home island of Reunion. He filmed his first documentary in 2013. “Destination : île Intense”, a 55,000 Euro full length film, shot with a CINEFLEX camera, and sold on DVD throughout Reunion, highlights the natural beauty of the island. The following year, Jeremie filmed a Star Wars fan film in Paris, “Master of Shadow”, using visual effects and miniatures created by the director, which has over one million views on YouTube. In 2015, Jeremie directed a four minute commercial for actor Sam Neill’s winery in New Zealand. In 2018, he filmed a short thriller, entitled “The Puzzle” in Burgundy, which was presented in France’s Festival des Moulins d'Or le Cac-Sannois. In 2020, he filmed a short thriller, entitled “Dark Dreams” in Burgundy, which was presented in India’s Festival “The Filmy Monks”.
