BIO - Kate Johnston

Kate Johnston () is an Independent award-winning filmmaker known for TRU LOVE, Stormcloud, Margarita, Click and Slow Burn.. Her dedication to telling crossover stories ( focus on women's and LGBTQ+ content) with passion and integrity has garnered her 15 international awards for her feature film Tru Love in India, Ireland, Wales, New Zealand, the U.S. and Canada. Both Tru Love and her award-winning short film Stormcloud are distributed worldwide. Kate is currently developing the feature film LAS ALAS (‘THE WINGS” with Joie Lamar, based on Lamar's best-selling published Latinx memoirs Mambo Lips and Salsa Hips, as well as TRANSIT OF VENUS, an original screenplay written by Kate Johnston.
