About Laurie

For many years I've worked primarily as a director of mostly comedies and musicals (even wrote a few) and taught acting / performing arts at area colleges, including SUNY-Purchase (MFA from Sarah Lawrence). I've performed in musicals, plays, and film and studied filmmaking several years ago, before digital video took over. As an acting coach, I love working one to one with actors of all ages and levels for both film or stage. Presently I'm directing an edgy new comedy, directing and co-writing a musical, and directing/dramaturging an exciting play based on a real life story / court case. I also am available for select acting roles, but rarely pursue them anymore. I started a not for profit organization, Hudson River Repertory Company, but don't enjoy producing as much as directing, so I am open to a producer coming onboard! See www.HudsonRiverRep.org ;-)
