About Brendan

In 2017, Brendan wrote and starred in 'Interviewed' (dir. Michelle Foster), a short comedy about a job interview that spirals out of control. He was pleased to receive the Best Actor award for that performance at the Snowdance Film Festival in his hometown of Peterborough, Ontario.

In 2018, Brendan co-wrote and co-produced 'The Basement Monster' (dir. Michael Hayes), a 31-minute family film. It tells the story of sisters Zoe (7) and Emma (6), who must solve the mystery of the creature in the basement of their new home. The premiere was attended by over 200 people and raised $2,000 for Habitat for Humanity.

In 2022, Brendan wrote and directed the 10-minute supernatural thriller 'Hellbound Taxi', shot on location at Docville Western Town in Newcastle, Ontario. It tells the story of a bounty hunter with a demon-possessed car who's forced out of retirement when his most dangerous quarry gets loose.

Brendan's role in 'The Lifecycle Challenge' (8 min, dir. Michael Hayes) earned him the Best Actor award at the 2023 Cannes Film Awards. Here's the short pitch for the film: "When John dies, he's shocked to discover that a surreal game show comes next - and that his social media activity during his life is the key to winning. The stakes: his next incarnation on Earth."
