Chris Griffith

For 30 years, I have created original, family-friendly theater as a puppetry designer, performer, director, writer, video producer, musician and teaching artist. My artistic vision is to instigate meaningful arts experiences through hand-crafted puppetry, live music and quirky humor to build and strengthen community.
I have collaboratively created hundreds of original performances and educational arts experiences for Minnesotans of all ages with Galumph Interactive Theatre, In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre, Children’s Theatre Company, COMPAS, Perpich Center for Arts Education. As an individual artist, I won a 2009 Ivey Award for puppetry design and 4 MSAB Artist Initiative grants.
With my company, Z Puppets Rosenschnoz, I have managed three Jim Henson Foundation Grants, over 40 Minnesota State Arts Board grant projects, and a Sally Irvine Ordway Award from the Ordway Center for Performing Arts.
