About Matt

Matt Schramer has worked as a screenwriter, director and producer, and video editor for the past 16 years in various industries. He has worked in TV, feature films, documentaries, commercials, and most recently outdoor films. While still attending film school, he wrote and directed several short films, some of which were official selections in film festivals across the US. His short screenplays have also been recognized and awarded in screenwriting competitions. He got his feet wet in documentary film as an associate producer, camera operator and editor on a feature-length documentary called Balancing the Cosmos about the modern-day Maya in the highlands of Guatemala. He has directed several short documentary films in the healthcare, cultural, non-profit and tech industries.

Matt also has extensive experience as an editor and producer for TV. He has produced and edited non-scripted television shows for cable TV networks and currently is the post-production supervisor on a show airing on the Sportsman Channel. Concurrently Matt runs a production house based in Salt Lake City called Mazer Media. With a small team of experts, they specialize in producing commercials, photography, animation and short films for outdoor, sports, military and fitness brands. Some of his clients include: Cabelas, Outdoor Vitals, Badlands Gear, Simms, Orvis, Cotopaxi, Smith Optics, and many others. He enjoys the great outdoors everyday, where he resides in Utah with his wife and two daughters.
