About Eva
Eva is a screenwriter originally from the Southeast, now living in Brooklyn, New York. Eva writes character driven stories, spanning family drama to sci-fi, and is fascinated by the complex, intricate lives of everyone around her. Her most important goal is to make any reader or audience feel seen, heard, and understood in the experiences of their own lives.
Eva has a background in Music and Entrepreneurship, giving her a unique perspective on how film combines visuals and music to create a full bodied experience. Eva formerly worked as a Host and Producer for South Carolina Public Radio, and has experience with voice over work, including narration for South Carolina ETV.
Eva's main project currently is The Mountains Are Calling, a family drama about a recovering heroin addict who is reunited with the daughter he had secretly given up for adoption 18 years earlier when her mother died of an overdose. The story is set in the Blue Ridge Mountains, a place dear to Eva's heart, and explores generational trauma, the opioid crisis, and how the sins of our family shape who we are.
