Straight out of Texas...

Shortly after moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting, since there never seemed to be enough good roles for her “type”, I started writing, deciding to write my own performance material, which led to a growing affection for the craft of writing. 
On my writing journey, I studied sketch comedy writing at UCB and UCLA Extension and also earned a certification in Television Writing at UCLA Extension.

The first short film I wrote, SHEROES, was labeled by Shadow and Act Online News as “one of the most fun shorts” at the Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival. The starring actors in SHEROES were featured in Ebony Magazine’s recap of Comicon 2010!

My pilot, SHE.e.o has placed as quarterfinalist in the Emerging Screenwriters Screenplay Competition and in the Creative Screenwriting Unique Voices Screenplay Competition. SHE.e.o also placed as a semifinalist in the Shore Scripts TV Pilot Contest and was ranked top 4% of discoverable projects on Coverfly.

In addition to writing and developing pilots, I enjoy the work that I'm doing as a freelance writer on Fiverr, writing short films and web series.
