Gaye Leonard

Gaye Leonard is President and Co-Founder of Denver based Story Mountain Entertainment, LLC, an independent content accelerator. She has a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Texas in Austin and has enjoyed a career that started in radio and television writing and production that led into nonprofit management and fundraising. In recent years, she has chosen to return to media marketing and production, fueled by her passion for film and artist advocacy.

Gaye and business partner Will LaBahn launched Story Mountain Entertainment in June 2021 while working as executive producers on BEASTS UNDISCOVERED, an award-winning wilderness comedy script featuring the work of Henson Creature Shop and in partnership with Myriad Pictures. Top award recipient of the 2022 Montana Film Office Big Sky Film Grants, “BEASTS” is production scheduled for early summer 2023.

While curating and managing development for a slate of diverse-genre films and providing funding for an international festival winner and comedic anthology series, WOMANHOOD, produced by Jessica McGaugh and Roma Sur in 2022.

Other projects in the slate include, award-winning Playwright Barney Norris’ recently completed the screenplay for TRESPASSES, a drama adapted from his UK play by the same name. TRESPASSES follows a Texas family in turmoil and a young woman’s desperate attempt to escape the emotional quicksand of dysfunction and deceit to find sanity and a place to raise her newborn.
