Ryan Patrick Welsh

Ryan Patrick Welsh is a writer and director who makes heartfelt films that delve into the nuance of the human experience. His feature film directorial debut, 'When We Get There' starring Alfred Molina was completed in early 2024. His award-winning short films have been screened at major festivals like Oscar-Qualifying Austin Film Festival, LEEDS International FF, Newport Beach FF, and more. Several films have been featured in Film Shortage and with Short Of The Week. Gunpowder & Sky's sci-fi arm, DUST, selected both 'Outpost' and 'It's Okay' to be featured on their channel.
In addition to his work as a director, Ryan's stage plays have been featured in development workshops at theaters across the country, including the prolific Road Theatre Company in Los Angeles. One of his plays, 'Last of the Wild Buffalo,' has recently been financed for a film adaptation which he is also slated to direct. He is currently in pre-production on this picture.
